Six is the number of collections with which book-a will be launched and six is the number of different ways you can collaborate:

1. If you’re interested in a book-a project and want to see its completion, you can offer your support by providing financial backing within your means. If you’re interested in the compensations we have to offer, you can obtain them in the same way. Your contribution could spark interest in other users and encourage them to promote the project as well. Through the platform, you can meet other users who support the same books as you.

2. Some of the essential mechanisms behind the growth of book-a is dissemination and making projects known in campaign. The platform offers you the possibility to share each project on main social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin) and also to insert links on your personal website or blog. The best way to spread information is by word of mouth and in this aspect internet offers a wide range of advantages and possibilities.

3. Book-a aspires to become a readers’ niche and in order to achieve this, users must be able to COMMENT on and DEBATE the subjects touched upon in the collections and their titles. The platform allows users to post opinions, comments and references for each project and blog news items because we want users to get involved in the life and evolution of each book-a.

4. After becoming familiar with the subjects on book-a (architecture, art, photography, history, theory and city) and the approaches taken by the six active collections, you can muster your courage and suggest your own Editorial Proposal as long as it is related and fits in with one of the subjects. In order to do this, you can contact us at colabora@book-a.net and explain your proposal and its characteristics. The book-a team will study and analyse your project, keeping you informed at all times of any decisions and considerations concerning it. Editorial proposals may consist of a BOOK-A COLLECTION or a CURATORIAL BOOKSHELF with donated publications or free licences (creative commons or copyleft). We will soon tell you more about this. Editors and research groups are invited to join book-a and cofinancing their works, curating a book-shelf in the book-ateca.

5. Aside from monetary contributions, there are many different ways you can support a project. If you possess a certain skill or resource, along with the desire and will to help out, you can collaborate in any way you can imagine. For example, if you have an establishment or your own property, you can transform it into a place where you organise TALKS-COLLOQUIMS on your favourite collection, thus bringing together others with the same interests, the authors and director of the collection and the book-a team. If you can help us in this way or have another idea or suggestions, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to contact us at colabora@book-a.net.

6. Not only do we need financial support but also material and physical support. That’s why we request the help of BENEFACTORS who will be in charge of necessity packs for each collection. These packs include paper, printing, translation, shipments and/or the production of certain compensations. If you’re interested in becoming a benefactor for a collection, contact us at benefactors@book-a.net This is how we will get the ball rolling, while never overlooking the fact that your opinion is important.

Comment, share, promote, collaborate but, above all, enjoy book-a.
