Missbehave is the title that announces the EKTAS collection, led by photographer and artist Simona Rota. It is dedicated to the links between two of her works, Big Exit and Ostalgia, chosen by the author to outline the concerns and issues she intends to develop further in the collection she is heading.
The edition consists of a limited series of 100 numbered copies signed by Rota.
'Missbehave' is dedicated to the underground ties between ‘Ostalgia’ and ‘Big Exit’ series by photographer Simona Rota. While ‘Ostalgia’ evokes the effects of monumental buildings and infrastructures subtly displayed in soviet cities as political propaganda, ‘Big Exit’ talks about the tensions between domestic space and its inhabitant, whose appropriation instinct becomes a political act.

Perhaps there is not a most delicate moment in the final stretch of an editorial project that the choice of final grades for the realization of a book. In a photography book this time is especially crucial: not only the chosen type of print, but also the type of paper, pore, tone and weight can completely transform a photograph. So it was quite a challenge to take the final decisions concerning Missbehave.
