Plácido González Martínez has just sent us this picture of his desk in the Ryerson & Burnham Library, at The Art Institute of Chicago, place where he is documenting his research on the New City and Hilberseimer.

Plácido has moved to the city that hosted Hilberseimer in his forced exile, thanks to a scholarship for research periods of the University of Seville. This excellent library stocks not only books but also newspapers of important architects, including Ludwig Hilberseimer, as well as their correspondence, working files, pictures, notebooks, scrapbooks, articles, transcripts and other personal documents, enormously valuable to the academic research. Eager to know what treasures will Plácido bring, we invite you to support his book here.
