Perhaps there is not a most delicate moment in the final stretch of an editorial project that the choice of final grades for the realization of a book. In a photography book this time is especially crucial: not only the chosen type of print, but also the type of paper, pore, tone and weight can completely transform a photograph. So it was quite a challenge to take the final decisions concerning Missbehave.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, we visited with Simona Rota the Artes Gráficas Palermo’s facilities, where we could see the guts of the digital offset machine that will print the book: a six-color HP Indigo. The digital offset is an innovative technique that uses liquid inks with a spectacular finishing touch, which permits to have short runs of printing with an effective color management, the customization of the project, and a fast production, all about under high quality standards.

We would like to thank very much our host Enrique Sánchez for the tour to the printing house, a beautiful building designed by architect Andrés Cánovas, by the way. We were in the Palermo’s library taking a look of some of the art books and photographs made in this printing office, and the truth is that the quality of the finish is impressive. It's a real luxe to work with them on this book.

Within no long ... we’ll get into their machines!
