Book-a starts off with six titles rooted in the work done by six different authors in relation to these subject matters: architecture, art, photography, city, history, theory and criticism.

Designed as seed projects, each title contains the seed for a publishing proposal needed to initiate a thematic collection in book-a. Each collection seeks support in different fields of knowledge and tools in order to offer an extra-disciplinary approach to architecture, which intertwines various subject matters.

Our first six book-a’s request collective support through the book-allow crowd-funding platform. The aim is for them to become books, books that initiate thematic collections and these collections, thanks to the collective impulse, will fill the shelves of the book-ateca, a club-library in the clouds for the use and enjoyment of its cultivators. However, there is still more: In the book-across section, users can fuse contents into new editions.

Research groups and independent editors are invited to join book-a with their own collection and shelf, contributing with publications that seek to be crowd-funded and become seed-content at book-a.

Why not to create from zero a library on the cloud with remixable contents? That's the goal of book-a. Please join and help us to push up this work: you will support a fabulous collaborative library that grows before your eyes!
